We are a one-stop-shop for independent information, advice and all aspects of the international convention bidding process. SCBs Core Objectives: - To win more bids for Sarawak - To establish marketing partnerships with like-minded organisations - To enhance the education of staff, community and the Business Event suppliers of Sarawak so as to retain brand value History, Vision and Mission - Established in 2006, SCB is the brain-child of the Sarawak State Government and is a non-profit organisation whose goal is to bring Sarawak to the forefront of international meetings. Our Vision - To create one-of-a-kind Sarawak-style conferences which are at par with the worlds best, complete with solid business outcomes and unique delegate experiences; and to ensure that they are sought after by meeting planners from around the world. Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) was established on 1st March 1972 as a state – owned statutory body with the general aim of promoting the commercial, industrial and socio-economic development of the State. SEDC was established under the Perbadanan Pembangunan Ekonomi Sarawak Ordinance (Sarawak Cap. 35), a law duly passed by the Sarawak State Assembly in accordance with the powers conferred on and delegated to the State Government of Sarawak under the Constitution of Malaysia. While SEDC is a statutory body established under the laws of the State of Sarawak, it also comes under the purview of the Federal Government of Malaysia through the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA).
