Our Role Since the beginning of the Meetings, Incentives, Conference, Exhibitions (MICE), also known as Business Events (BE) industry in the State, Sarawak Convention Bureau (SCB) has been pivotal in facilitating the organisation, development and marketing of conventions, conferences and corporate events in Sarawak. We are a one-stop-shop for independent information, advice and all aspects of the international convention bidding process. SCBs Core Objectives: - To win more bids for Sarawak - To establish marketing partnerships with like-minded organisations - To enhance the education of staff, community and the Business Event suppliers of Sarawak so as to retain brand value History, Vision and Mission - Established in 2006, SCB is the brain-child of the Sarawak State Government and is a non-profit organisation whose goal is to bring Sarawak to the forefront of international meetings. Our Vision - To create one-of-a-kind Sarawak-style conferences which are at par with the worlds best, complete with solid business outcomes and unique delegate experiences; and to ensure that they are sought after by meeting planners from around the world. Our Mission - To create a thriving and sustainable meetings industry in Sarawak. SCB is a member of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA). We provide professional advice to meeting planners. We are an impartial and unbiased source between planners and local industry suppliers. Our goal is to help connect NGOs, corporations and government bodies with whatever is necessary to make international conventions a success in Sarawak.
