The Joseph I. Lubin School of Business is the business school of Pace University. The school was established in 1906 as the Pace School of Accountancy to prepare men and women for the CPA exam, and was named after Joseph I. Lubin, an alumnus and benefactor of the school, in 1981. The school is located at Pace University's campuses in New York City and Westchester County, New York. Undergraduate and graduate programs are offered in New York City and Pleasantville.

PACE MD is uniquely positioned to expand the reach, reduce the costs, eliminate inefficiencies, and increase effectiveness in the delivery of improved medical care services at local and system levels across Mexico. The organization serves as the ideal innovative engine and local hub to collate the necessary resources for diffusing knowledge and training to medically underserved areas of Latin America. The organization offers continuing medical education and training packages to public and private medical care organizations in Mexico and Latin America using an innovative systems based model of skills training and certification, along with fully integrated knowledge and tele-mentoring networks. PACE MDs goal is to improve medical care and system integration in emergency situations, from medical centers out to the last kilometer of the Chain of Survival. The most specific health problem PACE solves is reducing the maternal mortality rate in Mexico. Emergency obstetrics training, from OBGYN's to general practitioners, nurses, community health workers, and midwives is a helpful solution to this multi-factorial problem. PACE addresses emergency health problems, but the innovations and processes are likely to impact other areas of health care. Pace4Life is a Not for Profit reusing pacemakers in the developing world. Every year up to 2 million people die in the developing world because they don't have enough money for a lifesaving pacemaker operation. In the United Kingdom, approximately 50,000 individuals undergo pacemaker implant surgery each year, costing around £5,000 - £50,000 a time. When a pacemaker user dies, the device is buried with them, or, if the deceased chooses to be cremated it is discarded either as medical waste or often just placed in a box and forgotten. In the developing world around 2 million people die every year due to inaccessibility to medical healthcare and the prohibitive cost of lifesaving devices and a pacemaker surgery. In the 21st century, the healthcare disparities between the industrialized world and those in under-developed countries have become all too apparent with cardiovascular disease having an increasing impact on death rates. Innovative methods of delivering normally costly healthcare to impoverished countries are required. “Some foreign manufacturers have reduced the cost of pacemakers to as little as $800, a price that still makes it out of reach in poor nations. Despite the substantial cost reduction, a new pacemaker is often more than the annual income of the average worker in underdeveloped nations,” - Kim A.
