The York County History Center inspires the exploration of the history, people and culture of our county, state and nation. As a non-profit organization it utilizes collections, historic sites and museums to help tell the American Story.

The York County, Virginia government is an organization of over 700 employees working under the leadership of an elected Board of Supervisors. The Board hires the County Administrator who oversees the day-to-day operations of the county government. York County, Virginia is home to approximately 67,000 people and is located in the Hampton Roads region of southeast Virginia in an area referred to as the Historic Triangle - a region comprised of Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown.

We have been serving the York Community for 90 years as a United Way Member Agency. We have been Awarded National Accreditation by NAEYC and a Four Star Performance designation (the highest level) by PA Keystone STARS for providing a safe, stimulating environment. York Day Nursery offers educational programs designed around children’s developmental levels and interests. With 30 Direct Care Educators, we have a low child to teacher ratio. Our modern facility is open 6:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday (Year round), and provides a nutritional breakfast, hot lunch, and afternoon snack daily.

What is the MSA? MSA stands for Muslim Students Association. There are many MSAs in University and College Campuses, as well as high schools, all across Canada and the United States. We represent the MSA at York Universitys Keele Campus while the Glendon Campus has its own MSA. What is the purpose of the MSA? The MSAs general objectives are as follows: (a) Facilitate prayer space use for Muslim students attending York University. (b) Encourage and facilitate the general practice of Islam on campus. (c) Promote awareness of Islam among the York community. (d) Act as a representative for the Muslim community on Campus. What does the MSA do? In addition to various events and activities held throughout the year, the MSA provides services such as: 1) Regular prayers in Scott Religious Center Chapel (extra ijâbs and skirts are available) 2) Jumuah Sermon and Prayer at 1:30 PM every Friday in Scott Religious Center Chapel (maâif are available)
