The Valley Resource Center is a public, nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to connecting the community to local, low-cost and free comprehensive resources through community organizational outreach and providing philanthropic programs to enrich the lives of veterans, seniors, and families in the community. Current core programs include: Adopt-A-Troop program - Each month we send out numerous care packages to deployed military members Senior Technology Table (S.I.T.T.) - Each month we help seniors navigate their cellphones and the Internet Backpack Program - We provide free backpacks filled with supplies to low-income families in need

Founded in 2015, Valley Road Vineyards was conceived by a group of friends who brought talents from successful careers in law, advertising, insurance, real estate development, and writing, among others. With their mutual love of Virginia and wine, a vineyard operation in the heart of the Monticello Viticulture Area seemed a good choice for a fun and rewarding business venture. Led by co-founder and CEO Stan Joynes, the group found an ideal site for a new vineyard and tasting room on Rte 151 at the head of the Rockfish Valley in Afton, Virginia. The first vines were planted in the spring of 2016, and VRV bottled its first wines in April of the same year. In just two years, Valley Road's wines have been been honored by industry awards and loyal customers who love the wines, the beautiful tasting room and views and great people.

Since 2003, the Valley Sierra Small Business Development Center (SBDC) has helped thousands of businesses, from pre-ventures and small business start-ups to companies with hundreds of employees, in Stanislaus and Tuolumne Counties. We know that there’s a lot to know about operating a business. A company can significantly increase its chance of success with proactive planning and on-going education. In other words, know what you have to do and where you are going with your business. The SBDC offers extensive resources to help you understand the business challenges and help you plan for your future success. Whether a start-up business or an established company, we provide planning, counseling and resources in all areas of operating a business. Expert help is available through one-on-one sessions, workshops & seminars, our extensive website resources, and professional research support. Who is the SBDC? The SBDC is part of the Central CA SBDC Network in cooperation with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), and is hosted by Opportunity Stanislaus. Our mission is to assist entrepreneurs and business owners through free business counseling and research and low-cost training. Our services are paid through various grants allowing you to participate in no cost business consulting, a variety of free or low-cost trainings, and much more! The SBDC program has over a 1,000 centers nationwide and collectively is the largest provider of business assistance in the country! Our main office is in Modesto, with satellite offices serving the other counties.
