Valley Center M.W.D. is a special district, authorized by the State Legislature under the Municipal Water District Act of 1911. It is governed by a five-member Board of Director selected by voters in their respective divisions to serve four-year terms. The Board meets on the first and third Monday of each month beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the District's Board Room located at 29300 Valley Center Road and the public is invited to attend these meetings. Agendas for Board of Directors meetings are posted for public viewing at the Administration building site and are on the District's website.

Valley Children’s consistently ranks at the top of our peer group for quality patient outcomes, patient satisfaction and nursing excellence. Recognized as a Magnet® designated facility since 2004 and granted the gold-level Beacon Award for Excellence™ in critical care, Valley Children’s neonatal and pediatric intensive care units achieve some of the lowest mortality rates in the country while treating some of the sickest kids. In 2021, U.S. News and World Report again named Valley Children’s one of the best children’s hospitals in the country in seven pediatric specialties. In affiliation with Stanford University School of Medicine, Valley Children’s Pediatric Residency and fellowship programs provide first-class training for the next generation of pediatricians and pediatric surgical and medical specialists. With more than 670 physicians and 3,500 staff, Valley Children’s partners with other providers and organizations throughout our 12-county service area to support delivering the best care to kids closer to home.

Valley Christian Schools strive for excellence in Christian education by partnering with Christian parents in meeting each individual students needs. In 1935, the school was founded on the concept of parental involvement. Our schools are an extension of Christian family life, and we take seriously our obligation to be partners with parents in providing the best possible education for our students. from Preschool through high school graduation, Valley Christian Schools is dedicated to bringing every student to his or her highest potential: academically, socially, and spiritually. More than 95% of Valley Christian high school graduates go on to further education directly following graduation. Valley Christian Schools enrolls 1500 students in grades Pre-K through 12. We are located 25 miles south of Los Angeles near the border of Los Angeles and Orange Counties in beautiful Southern California. Our facilities cover 30 acres and are comprised of four campuses located within a mile of each other. Students live in areas as far away as San Pedro, Pasadena, Yorba Linda, and Huntington Beach, with the majority of our students living in Long Beach, Lakewood, Cerritos, Artesia and Bellflower. Our roots are planted in the Bible and grow out of the Protestant Reformation. Presently, VCS families represent over 250 churches.
