Uganda Christian University (UCU) is an authentic Christian Institution established by the Church of Uganda in 1997 in response to a call for quality University education with a Christian perspective. Uganda Christian University replaced the historic Bishop Tucker Theological College which trained clergy and educators during its 84-year history from 1913-1997. The local chief, Hamu Mukasa, granted land for the college to operate in Mukono. International partnerships were part of the Bishop Tucker Theological College’s missionary history. The Church Mission Society teamed up with Ugandan leaders and others to assure the College had the necessary intellectual and other capital. By the late 1990s, the Church of Uganda sought to have a broader impact on society through University Education - not only educating clergy but other professionals as well. In 2004, UCU became the first private university to be chartered or accredited by the government of Uganda. Uganda Christian University is dedicated, through teaching, scholarship, service, spiritual formation, student development and social involvement, to preparing students for thoughtful, productive lives of Christian faith and service in their respective professions and places. Located in Mukono, less than an hour’s drive from the capital city Kampala, Uganda Christian University is one of Uganda's leading Teaching and Research Universities.

The Uganda Communications Commission was established to implement the provisions of The UCC Act 2013 in accordance with the Laws of Uganda, with the principal goal of developing a modern communications Infrastructure in Uganda, in conformity with the operationalization of the Telecommunications Policy.

Uganda Export Promotion Board (UEPB) is a public Trade Support Institution established to coordinate the development and promotion of Uganda’s exports. It is the national focal point for export promotion and development. It is supervised by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives, falling directly under the External Trade Department. It was established by a Statute of Parliament, UEPB Statute No. 2 of 1996, which repealed the Uganda Export Promotion Council (UEPC) Act No. 7 of 1983. The 1983 Act had previously repealed Parliamentary Act 17 of 1969 which established the first Uganda Export Promotion Council.

National Human Rights Institution (NHRI) with the constitutional mandate to promote and protect human rights in Uganda.

UNBS is a statutory body under the Ministry of Trade,Industry and Co-operatives set up to develop, promote and manage Standards in Uganda for protection of consumers and enhancement of competitiveness of exports in regional and international markets.
