Uudenkaupungin Rautavalimo Oy - URV - was founded in 1950. The company operates its own foundry in Uusikaupunki, Finland and also controls a network of subcontracting foundries and machinists in Asia. Our mission is to be the preferred supplier of ready-to-install high quality components and sub-assemblies at competitive cost to OEMs globally. Our own foundry manufactures demanding single pieces, short series and prototype castings quickly and flexibly, while our international network manufactures high quality longer series cost-efficiently. Uudenkaupungin Työvene (Uki Workboat) has extensive experience in designing and building boats and vessels for professional use. We deliver tailor-made turn key projects on time and to cost. Our over 220 deliveries have provided the company with knowledge of how to design and build vessels for demanding professional purposes. We know both aluminium and steel materials. Key personnel with decades of experience in shipbuilding and project management and good production facilities ensure that our customers receive a quality product.

Uusi Iloinen Teatteri eli UIT on suomalainen vuonna 1978 perustettu viihteellinen teatteri ja ainoa ammattimainen revyyteatteri Suomessa. Perinteikkään musiikkiteatterin missiona on jatkaa ja jalostaa suomalaista revyyperinnettä. Jokakeväisen Linnanmäen Peacock-teatterin kevätrevyyn lisäksi teatteri on laajentanut toimintaansa myös kesäteatteriareenoille ja risteilylaivoille. UIT tuottaa myös vierailuesityksiä. UUSI KAUPUNKI KOLLEKTIIVI – NEW URBAN COLLECTIVE is a dynamic architecture collective from Finland. The collective is formed by young and ambitious design offices: Futudesign, Jada, Pro Toto, Studio Puisto, Architects Rudanko + Kankkunen, Hukkatila, Avarrus, Kaleidoscope, MUUAN, LUO, AOR and Virkkala de Vocht Architects. The objective of the collaboration is to encourage municipalities, communities and companies to use architecture and planning as a tool for problem solving while simultaneously expanding architects’ traditional clientele. Uusi Kaupunki started its work in the spring 2013 by organizing two-day design clinics to find ways to improve Finnish towns and cities. Well-being in cities and in other urban environments is essential for reaching an ecologically sustainable level for living. At the end of the clinic each office presents a solution for current issues in the city. Visualized designs are an effective way to compare alternatives and togenerate discussion and debate. The member offices of the collective work through Uusi Kaupunki but also independently on projects in Finland, Sweden, Cambodia, China and Uganda. A television series “Kaupunki Uusiksi” filmed by Finnish national broadcasting company YLE brought the design clinique approach into national spotlight during winter 2015. To day Uusi Kaupunki has organized more than 15 innovative design workshops in every major cities in Finland. Some of the projects have already gone through the whole design path beginning from ideas level and finishing to completed constructions and official zoning blueprints.
