UTS Women in Business("WiB"​) is a student society that has the aim of challenging and empowering a dynamic community of inspired, and proactive women, and men through business exposure and experience. Our goal is to equip young students with invaluable networking opportunities and insights to succeed in any field. We play a leading role in cultivating the next generation of business leaders that are passionate about economic, financial and political change. We hold a variety of exciting educational and social events to empower young individuals. These events differ from large networking events a variety of workshops that center around professional development and networking, providing students with the opportunity to explore various career pathways. Through our events, we seek to grow a strong and supportive community of young individuals.

The Carlos Alvarez College of Business at The University of Texas at San Antonio transforms students from the curious and hopeful into confident and career-ready young professionals. We aim to be the best in class by focusing on educational programs that provide both applied business and technical skills in areas of high-workforce demand as well as professional and entrepreneurial skills that help students create value for their organization and integrate into the workforce. We are a community of scholars who advance the art and science of business through rigorous and relevant research that is published in outlets of distinction and translated for practice in the classroom. The college offers a comprehensive curriculum at the undergraduate, master's and doctoral level that expands the boundaries of a traditional business education. Traditional programs include degrees in accounting, finance and marketing as well as specialized programs in cyber security, data analytics and real estate finance and development. With over 6,300 students, the college is one of the 40 largest business schools in the nation. UTSA was named the #1 ranked cyber security program in the country according to a national survey of certified information technology security professionals conducted by the Ponemon Institute that was based on the college's educational curriculum. Nationally ranked and recognized, the Carlos Alvarez College of Business was named one of the Top 5 undergraduate business programs in Texas by Bloomberg Businessweek. At the graduate level, the college was ranked the No. 10 graduate business school in the nation for Hispanics by Hispanic Business.
