The creation of the USTH has been formalized through an intergovernmental agreement on November 12th 2009 between Madame Valérie Pécresse, Minister of Research and Higher Education of France and M. Nguyen Thien Nhan, Vice-Prime Minister, Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam. The main goal of the USTH is to develop a centre of research and teaching excellence that creates dynamic synergies between research and teaching by strengthening university-industry linkages in science and technology fields and developing new model to private-public cooperation in higher education/research institutions. This responds to the emerging needs of the development of Vietnam.

The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) is a state university established on August 16, 2016 by virtue of Republic Act 10919 through the amalgamation of the Mindanao University of Science and Technology (MUST) in Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental and the Misamis Oriental State College of Agriculture and Technology (MOSCAT) in Claveria, Misamis Oriental. Both campuses are located in Northern Mindanao, the Gateway to Mindanao, which offers a strategic locational advantage for the institution to train and develop students from all the other regions of Mindanao.

Founded in 1888, Scranton is a nationally recognized Catholic and Jesuit university in Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains region. The University offers 68 undergraduate and more than 30 graduate programs to approximately 5,000 students.

The University of Sharjah was established as a non-profit institution for higher education in October 1997 by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University.
