The University of Pardubice builds on an almost seventy-year long tradition of higher education in the Pardubice Region. The Chemical College (later known as the Institute of Chemical Technology) was founded in 1950 to address the needs of the East Bohemia Region, which had a highly developed chemical industry providing extensive opportunities for research in the field. The character of the Institute notably changed after 1990: new faculties were founded, offering a wide range of study programmes, not only chemistry-related. The name - University of Pardubice - has been used since 1994, reflecting the new character of the educational institution. Based on longstanding tradition, the university is committed to making educational opportunities accessible to the diverse student population from across the Czech Republic and more than 60 countries.

En 1200, la police royale réprima sauvagement un incident entre les bourgeois de Paris et la corporation universitaire parisienne. Celle-ci se plaignit au roi Philippe Auguste qui prit sa défense en accordant à ses membres - maîtres et étudiants - le privilège d'être soumis à la juridiction ecclésiastique pour les fautes dont ils se rendraient coupables. Ce privilège était important à une époque où l'Église et son droit écrit garantissaient contre l'arbitraire ceux qui en étaient dotés. Le monarque reconnaissait ainsi la corporation universitaire parisienne, à laquelle il donnait une existence légale.

L’université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne associe le glorieux héritage du collège fondé par Robert de Sorbon au XIIIe siècle avec un projet pluridisciplinaire novateur. Première université française en sciences humaines et sociales (SHS), elle cultive depuis 1971 un esprit unique qui associe une approche scientifique exigeante et l’ambition de faire émerger de nouveaux savoirs qui transforment le monde. The University of Patras was founded in the city of Patras in 1964 and started to operate in academic year 1966-1967. In June 2013 the University of Western Greece was integrated into the University of Patras. In 2019 the majority of the departments of the Technological Educational Institute of Western Greece were also integrated into the University of Patras. The new academic charter of the University of Patras as of the academic year 2022-2023 is included in the 52/2022 Presidential Decree (Government Gazette 131/07.07.2022). The University is situated in Patras, Agrinion and Messolonghi. The main campus is located 7 km North East of the city of Patras, in the suburb of Rion, covering a vast area of 4.5 km². The campus lies on the foothills of Mount Panachaico with a view over the Corinthian Gulf and to the mountains of Central Greece across the sea. The University of Patras is the third largest University in Greece in terms of students, faculty members, administrative personnel, number of departments and degrees awarded. The University of Patras includes 31 Departments covering a wide range of disciplines. It also hosts 161 laboratories and 17 fully equipped clinics. Besides its distinguished path in education, the University of Patras excels in various fields of basic and applied research. The University of Patras has acquired international prominence in research areas such as Health, Environment, Biotechnology, Mechanics, Electronics, Informatics and Basic Science. A number of its academic Departments, laboratories and clinics have been recognized as centres of excellence on the basis of international assessment. The University of Patras has acquired a reputation for producing quality and innovative research and for taking part in a plethora of research projects, scientific organizations and research groups.

The Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour is located at the foot of the Pyrenees, in the southwest of France. It has five campuses with degrees in all non-medical disciplines: Arts and Sciences, Humanities and Engineering.

The University of Pécs, the oldest university in Hungary, was founded in 1367. Today, it is one of the country's largest higher education institutions and offers a broad spectrum of courses to approximately 23,000 students. The highly qualified academic staff are a guarantee that students are provided with the most up-to-date knowledge to the highest, internationally recognised standards and so earn a degree which is highly competitive in today’s labour market. The university has conducted degree programs in English for over 40 years and has become one of the most internationalized universities in Hungary. The Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Pécs is a diverse and innovative hub of excellence delivering world class research and education on all academic levels. Marrying theory with practice through the World of Practice constitutes an essential element of the Faculty’s long term strategy. The members of the teaching staff have both practical experience and highly specialized knowledge in their respective research fields. The Faculty’s research potential is outstanding among national institutions. It is involved in several national and international projects, it is a designated research center of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (HAS) and two of our professors are full members of HAS. Charles Simonyi (the developer of MS Excel applications), Professor Peter Lorange (President of IMD, Lausanne and holder of the Nestlé Chair at that institution), Francis Aguilar, Professor at Harvard Business School or Gunter Pauli, world famous advocate of the blue economy concept are among the Honorary Doctors of the Faculty.

The Hundred Years' War is already in its 30th year, Boccaccio put the final full stop to the end of the Decameron 14 years ago, just in three years the Aztecs are going to create a state in America, and on the 1st of September Louis the Great - the King of Hungary - establishes a university at Pécs with the approval of Pope Urban V. It is one of the largest higher education institutions in Hungary with its 26.000 students and its nine faculties. The University of Pécs offers a broad range of international training and degree programmes, ensuring high-level knowledge-transfer and research. The university has almost 2000 international students coming from 61 countries of the world. The University of Pécs has been offering full degree programmes taught in English for 30 years and in German for 10 years therefore it has an exceptionally wide experience and tradition in international higher education. Pécs is a pleasant, modern town, rich in historical monuments, an administrative, cultural and educational centre offering a lot to those who wish to live or study here.
