Founded in 1909, The University of Oklahoma College of Law is one of the great public law schools in the nation with small sections and class sizes that encourage a strong sense of community, accomplished faculty who boast international expertise and a state-of-the-art facility featuring study rooms, court rooms and classrooms equipped with the latest technology. As Oklahoma's only public law school, OU Law is currently the academic home of approximately 500 students enrolled in the Juris Doctor, Master of Laws, Master of Legal Studies and various dual degree programs. The University of Oklahoma Law Center is the parent entity of the College of Law. The Law Center also includes the Donald E. Pray Law Library, OU Legal Clinic, Department of Legal Assistant Education, Oklahoma Law Review and American Indian Law Review.

The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine was founded in 1900 as a medical department of the University of Oklahoma at its main campus in Norman. Lawrence N. Upjohn, M.D. is regarded as the "founding dean"​ and served from 1900-1904. In 1910, the school merged with the Epworth College of Medicine in Oklahoma City. By 1928, all basic science and clinical facilities had been consolidated as what would become the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, where there was a growing urban population and larger hospital facilities could be supported. By the 1960s, the College and its affiliated hospitals had grown into a large, traditional academic medical center. In 1974, a geographically separate, community-based clinical campus was established in Tulsa, approximately 100 miles northeast of the main campus. Referred to as the OU College of Medicine, the college is the only medical school in Oklahoma that grants the Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree.

The College of Professional and Continuing Studies (PACS) is a fully accredited academic unit of the University of Oklahoma, offering degrees in flexible formats for non-traditional students and working adults. The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center consists of seven health-related colleges. The campus is located in a fifteen-block area near the Oklahoma state capitol in Oklahoma City. Several of the colleges also offer programs and health care services at the OU-Tulsa campus.

The state’s first and only public, ABA-approved law school, Oregon Law has trained exceptional legal and dispute resolution professionals since 1884. In addition to the Juris Doctor (JD) degree, the school offers a Master of Laws (LLM) degree, a Summer Sports Law Institute, a 3rd year Portland program, and an Undergraduate Legal Studies program. Oregon Law is in the top-15 in four national specialty law rankings in Legal Research and Writing (#1), Environmental Law (#7,) Public Interest Jobs (#11), and Dispute Resolution (#12), which is the only top-ranked program of its kind in the Northwest.
