La Universidad de Talca es una de las 25 instituciones de educación superior que integran el Consejo de Rectores de las Universidades Chilenas (CRUCH). Fundada en 1981, tras la fusión de las antiguas sedes de la Universidad de Chile y la Universidad Técnica del Estado (UTE), se ha transformado progresivamente en uno de los principales referentes nacionales de la educación superior pública y sin fines de lucro, siendo calificada por recientes ranking y mediciones como la mejor universidad estatal de regiones. Su Casa Central está ubicada en la ciudad de Talca, capital de la Región del Maule. Hoy cuenta con cuatro campus emplazados en las ciudades de Talca, Curicó, Santa Cruz (Colchagua) y Santiago. En sus sedes se forman más de siete mil seiscientos estudiantes de pregrado en las áreas de las ciencias, las artes, las letras y la innovación tecnológica y más de mil cuatrocientos alumnos de postgrado y especialidades, llegando a los nueve mil estudiantes. La Universidad organiza su accionar en torno a un Plan Estratégico definido hasta el año 2015 que recoge las macro tendencias del entorno, y, a partir de ellas, aprovecha las oportunidades para concretar la visión corporativa de “Ser reconocida como universidad innovadora, internacionalizada, de excelencia, referente en el sistema educacional superior, pertinente en su accionar, social y ambientalmente responsable”.

The Valparaiso University was founded in 1981 and at that time it was one of the most important branches of the Chile University in regions, it is a state education institution, autonomous and certified, its tradition comes from 1911 when the Fiscal Law Class was created in Valparaiso, which is where our Lawfaculty started. In this university we develop activities of education, research and extension in all the 9 faculties; we have 41 undergraduate programs and 32 postgraduate programs,in order to satisfy completely its 18 thousand students and the necessities and interests of the country and mainly of the Valparaiso region. Based on the essential principles of freedom, democracy and pluralism, this university is committed with the development of the culture, trying to integrate sciences, arts, and humanities, using its history and incorporating the new scientific findings, contributing to the evolution and progress of the society.

The University of Zaragoza is the main centre of technological innovation in the Ebro Valley and has great prestige among the group of both Spanish and European universities it has relations with. Like other institutions of the past and of other nations, the University of Zaragoza did not suddenly arise, but rather had its beginnings in what were known as the Ecclesiastical Schools. In the city these were later known as the School of Zaragoza, whose guiding spirit in the 7th century was the Bishop Braulio (which is the reason why in modern times he was made the patron saint of our University). Later, references from 1335 indicate there was a School of Arts (known as liberal arts, since the classics included in the "trivium and "quadrivium"​ were taught there. Between 1474 and 1476 this institution earned the category of General School of Arts, to become a university in the 16th century.
