La UISP – Unione Italiana Sport per Tutti ha l’obiettivo di estendere il diritto allo sport a tutti i cittadini operando dal 1948 nel settore della promozione sportiva offrendo molteplici e qualificati servizi alle persone (donne, uomini, giovani, anziani, detenuti minori e adulti, disabili) nelle varie fasi delle attività ricreative (manifestazioni e gare sportive, animazione ludico-ricreativa, attività motoria). Il Consiglio d’Europa definisce lo sport come una qualsiasi forma di attività fisica che, mediante una partecipazione organizzata o meno, abbia come obiettivo il miglioramento delle condizioni fisiche e psichiche, lo sviluppo delle relazioni sociali o il conseguimento di risultati nel corso di competizioni a tutti i livelli. Siamo proiettati al raggiungimento del benessere individuale e, quindi, collettivo, le nostre attività tendono all’inclusione sociale attraverso la pratica motoria e all’accettazione delle diverse motivazioni personali che avvicinano l’individuo alle varie attività caratteristiche sportive. Lo sport per tutti è un bene individuale e sociale che interessa la salute, la qualità della vita, l’educazione e la socialità, tutela e valorizza gli aspetti migliori dell’uomo e della collettività e si pone come alternativa ai valori esasperati espressi dallo sport professionistico. Ci occupiamo di “prevenzione” attraverso il movimento, terapia efficace contro molte patologie. Questo è il nostro elemento guida nella progettazione. Il nostro obiettivo è collaborare con le istituzioni locali e contribuire progettualmente al bene del cittadino attraverso la ricchezza propria di una rete efficace tra pubblico e privato sociale.
