Safeguard Life is a specialised life and personal insurance advice business. We have a strong network of accountants, lawyers, general insurers, mortgage brokers, and financial planners who assist to meet additional client needs. Safeguard Life provides the following services: Buy-sell insurance. We coordinate buy-sell agreements between business partners and ensure there is sufficient money from the policy to pay out a ceasing business partner or their family, spouse or power of attorney. In the event that one of the business partners is forced to leave the business in the event of serious illness, accident or death, their share of the business will pass to the remaining business partner. This avoids a situation where the remaining business partner loses control of the business and/or has to share the business with the previous business partners spouse, family or power of attorney. Key person insurance. We provide advice to companies wishing to purchase a life insurance policy on one of its key employees. If the employees dies unexpectedly or suffers a serious illness, the company receives the insurance payout. This avoids a situation where a company suffers financial loss as a result of the lost income, loss of opportunity to expand, loss of specialised skills or losses resulting from the delay or cancellation of any work that the key person was involved in. Life insurance: Life insurance provides a lump sum payment when death or terminal illness occurs to the insured life. Income protection. This is a monthly benefit that generally pays up to 75% of a persons income when off work due to an accident, illness or major trauma. Trauma insurance: This provides a lump sum payment when the life insured is diagnosed with a specified medical condition. Claims management: Safeguard Life assists insurance holders to settle insurance claims by lodging the claim and following up the provider to expedite the settlement.
