Red Barnet Ungdom (RBU) arbejder for​ et børnevenligt Danmark, hvor børn og unges rettigheder bliver taget alvorligt. Red Barnet Ungdom er en selvstændig ungdomsorganisation, der arbejder for børns rettigheder med udgangspunkt i FN's Konvention om Barnets Rettigheder (børnekonventionen). Vi tæller i dag cirka 4000 medlemmer, 1700 frivillige og har mange forskellige aktiviteter fordelt over hele landet. Vores aktiviteter tager udgangspunkt i børns ret til uddannelse, fritid, ikke at blive diskrimineret og deltagelse. Årligt er flere end 6000 danske børn med i Red Barnet Ungdoms aktiviteter, der for de flestes vedkommende henvender sig til sårbare, udsatte og ensomme børn i Danmark. Mission Red Barnet Ungdom kæmper for børn og unges rettigheder med udgangspunkt i FN's børnekonvention og arbejder med relevante samfundsproblematikker, der berører børn og unge. Organisationens formål er at arbejde for at: - Alle børns rettigheder i henhold til Børnekonventionen anerkendes og respekteres. - Alle børn bliver hørt og har indflydelse på de beslutninger, der berører dem. - Alle børn har kendskab til børnekonventionen og deres rettigheder.
