The ethnic composition of Ondo State is largely from the Yoruba subgroups of the Akoko, Akure, Okitipupa, Ilaje, Ondo, and Owo peoples. Ijaw such as Apoi and Arogbo populations inhabit the coastal areas, while a sizable number of the Ondo State people who speak a variant of the Yoruba language similar to Ife dialect reside in Oke-Igbo. ONDOAN, S. Coop. se funda en Marzo de 1982, dentro de Grupo Caja Laboral, con el objeto de desarrollar Servicios de Ingeniería. Su Objeto Social inicial era el “Diseño, construcción y suministro llave en mano de Instalaciones Auxiliares para la Industria y la Administración Pública”. Inicialmente ONDOAN se dedicó al Tratamiento y Depuración de Aguas. En 1984, y tras la incorporación, de expertos profesionales procedentes de otras empresas, se promueven las actividades de Climatización, Ahorro Energético y Protección Contra Incendios, constituyendo entre todas ellas la Unidad de Ingeniería de Instalaciones centrada en la de “Diseño y Ejecución de Instalaciones Generales para la Industria y la Edificación Singular”. En 1985, se inicia la actividad de I+D en el campo de “Vertidos Industriales”, origen de la actual Unidad de Medio Ambiente y Prevención de Riesgos Laborales y en el año 1993 se constituye la sociedad filial ONDOAN Servicios, centrada fundamentalmente en Mantenimiento y SAT. En el año 2001 se crea ONDOAN Auditoría y Control orientada actividades de inspección, control y auditorías en PRL y Medio Ambiente. Kelan empresa especializada en Instalaciones de Protección Contra Incendios y Sistemas de Bombeo se incorpora al Grupo ONDOAN en el año 2007. En 2016 se ha incorporado al Grupo, Orgaus Systems, especializado en servicios Energéticos. La trayectoria señalada refuerza la línea marcada de ir potenciando las actividades de Consultoría Técnica, Estudios y Proyectos de Ingeniería, y de Servicios de Asistencia Técnica y Mantenimiento, completando una amplia gama de servicios que permite cubrir mejor las demandas y necesidades de los clientes.
