Located at multiple sites in Sydney's North West, New Haven Farm Home’s state of the art supported accommodation services enhance the lives of people with a disability, helping them achieve their personal goals through an individualised approach to care, skill development and community inclusion. We are a trusted not-for-profit organisation, with over 57 years of committed service provision to help people with a disability through holistic and individually tailored care and support. It is important to us that each individual is in the centre of the decisions made about their lives, with choice in the activities they participate in, the skills they would like to learn and develop, and the goals they would like to achieve.

The mission of the New Haven Free Public Library is to ensure all New Haven’s citizens have full and unlimited access to information and knowledge so that they may meet the needs of daily living, have opportunities for self-education, and participate successfully in self-government.

NEW HAVEN YOUTH AND FAMILY SERVICES, INC. has been effectively working with youth and their families since 1967. Today New Haven Youth and Family Services is transforming lives for at-risk adolescent boys through an innovative education model that develops life/work skills in a healthy environment. Led by a dedicated team of caring professionals who embrace a servant leadership philosophy, New Haven supports the “whole person” development of troubled youth as we guide them from despair to hope. Our comprehensive therapeutic education model focuses on special education, work readiness and transitional living skills for adolescents with social, emotional or behavioral issues, learning disabilities or mental illness. Serving over 650 youth and families annually from the age of 12 and up, our goal is to tap their unrealized potential and help them to successfully transition into adulthood. New Haven’s comprehensive program includes social, emotional and behavioral intervention, career technical education and life skills development with targeted academic curriculum. This innovative education model incorporates best practices as recognized by the State of California to meet the multi-dimensional needs of our youth. The goal of all our programs is to extend a continuum of care to each youth so that they can return to their family and community requiring little or no further intervention. Every resource in our organization is directed toward that goal. We have been an enduring steward of hope for more than 18,250 youth and their families and we look forward to empowering a new generation by breaking down barriers and building bright futures.

The New Hazlett Theater for the Performing Arts is the non-profit organization founded in February 2004 to oversee the renovation and launch of the Hazlett Theater as a multi-use performing arts facility. Arts presenters, producers and artists rent the theater for a range of programs, including dramatic theater, dance, family programming, performance-art events, music, and spoken word performances, among other programming options. Theater offerings appeal to children, families, and adult audiences. In 2011, the New Hazlett Theater hosted 32,000 visitors and supported the work of over 50 partners. We vow to continue to have a positive impact on our partners as they strive to reach the next milestones in their own programming. We will maintain a strong, positive presence in the North Side Community. We have made a conscious choice to do more than simply operate a venue. Our vision is that the New Hazlett Theater serves as a place that nurtures the arts and connects with the community.

But I can’t seem to think of where to start so I will worry about it tomorrow? Or I will start my new fitness regime tomorrow? But tomorrow never comes? I was once in this place in my life, my work overwhelmed me I was a successful corporate worker with three small kids and a husband. Every part of my life needed my full attention and I started struggling to cope after years of burning the candle on both ends of the stick. Never having time for fitness, or mindful relaxation I just kept going until I realized there had to be more to life than just repeating the same thing every day. What I did realize after years of studying, working and parenting is that life requires balance. What you put into your body will affect how your body reacts to your lifestyle. How you motivate yourself will affect how you will handle your day to day life. What you keep meditating (thinking about all the time) will affect how you are and how you feel. And how you are will affect how those are around you and it affects them as much as it affects you. When I help someone, it’s not a one box fits all situation. You need to look at your whole situation, environment and current state of mind through various methodologies. I will help you work towards a healthier and happier lifestyle, mentally, emotionally and physically.
