Company History We have come a long way from 1987 when Founder Paddy Callaghan purchased 8 Hydroponic units from China to grow beansprouts in his garage in Co Meath, with just four local housewives on the payroll. An engineer by background, but an entrepreneur at heart, Paddy and his management team have built the company steadily over more than 30 years, always holding the products to the principles of healthy eating and high quality. Paddy is now Chairman of the company and the next generation in Rory & Ruth have taken over the helm. Along with an award winning senior management team, they run the company on a day to day basis, and have successfully grown the business through challenging economic conditions . Today Nature’s Best employs over 300 people and operate from a state of the art custom built factory 10 miles from the original site, in Drogheda Co Louth, just 25 minutes north of Dublin Airport. Nature’s Best is now Ireland’s leading producer of chilled vegetable based Convenience Foods. We sell under our own Nature’s Best - Healthy Horizons - It's a Date Brands and under major store brands in Ireland and the UK, and make products like: Bagged and Bowl Leafy Salads, Prepared Salads (like Coleslaw, Potato, and Pasta Salads, Cous Cous), Houmous Prepared Vegetables , Stir Fries, and some great new concepts like Grain Pouches, Nutri Salads and "Bag That's a Bowl"​. Nature provides our top quality ingredients and we do as little as possible to interfere with them. We just combine them into delicious recipes that make healthy eating a pleasure.

Nature's Classroom is a residential environmental education program based at fourteen sites in New England and New York. We serve students from kindergarten through 8th grade. Nature's Classroom provides hand-on, experiential learning opportunities utilizing natural resources at each of our facilities. After spending a week at Nature's Classroom living and learning together, students develop a sense of community, a confidence in themselves, and an appreciation for others and the environment that carries over to the school community. Over 750,000 children and 450 schools have come to view Nature's Classroom as a valuable academic experience, with an emphasis on scientific inquiry and critical thinking. We have been recognized for excellence by the National Science Teacher's Association, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the State of Connecticut. Our programming is tied to the Common Core curriculum, Next Generation Science Standards, and encompasses STEM learning. We have been offering the very best in environmental and experiential education for 40 years.

In 2008 Nature's Edge Cleaning was founded in order to provide a great carpet cleaning experience to local businesses, while empowering its staff with the confidence to chase their dreams. After a long period of product development and testing to remove all the toxic elements in typical carpet cleaning procedures, the Nature's Edge team completed its unique carpet and stain treatment solutions. Now, Nature's Edge is growing its staff and client base in order to further the goal of instilling confidence from the ground up in every interaction!
