The 'NTF' Objectives "To represent and protect racehorse trainers interests and to be a reliable and respected source of information, advice and support." This is achieved by: 1. Liaising and negotiating with other industry bodies and relevant national agencies and organisations. 2. Providing up to date information to members about any matters affecting their business 3. Offering access to a wide range of professional advisers. 1.a.Representation is achieved through membership of committees and working groups throughout the racing industry, liaison with other associations and industry organisations and consultation with national agencies including government departments. 2.a.Information - In addition to the web site, the NTF publishes newsletters, guidelines, advice sheets and other materials to keep trainers informed of the latest information which affects their training and business operations. 3.a.Services - As well as providing instant advice on all key areas within the sport, the NTF employs an in-house Legal Executive to advise on all aspects of employment law and contractual disputes. In addition, the NTF retains professional advisers on accountancy, insurance, veterinary matters, property (including commercial rates) and work permits for foreign staff.

It was organized to take over all the propertise, rights and assets obligations and liabilities of 220 KV and 500KV Grid Stations and Transmission Lines/Network owned by Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA). NTDC operates and maintains fourteen 500 KV and thirty eight 220 KV Grid Stations, 5110.48 km of 500 KV transmission line and 9686.32 km of 220 KV transmission line in Pakistan. NTDC was granted Transmission Licence No.TL/01//2002 on 31st December 2002 by National Electric Power Regularity Authority (NEPRA) to engage in the exclusive transmission business for a term of thirty (30) years, pursuant to Section 17 of the Regulation of Generation, Transmission and Distribution of Electric Power Act, 1997.
