National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO) The National Radio Astronomy Observatory strongly believes that a diverse staff is critical to our mission of enabling world-class science with cutting edge radio facilities for the scientific community, to train the next generation of scientists and engineers, and to foster a scientifically literate society. Headquartered in Charlottesville, Virginia, the National Radio Astronomy Observatory was founded in 1957 by the National Science Foundation and Associated Universities, Inc. The Observatory operates, maintains, and further develops two state-of-the-art radio telescope arrays that are impacting nearly every field of astrophysics. The Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA), located in northern Chile, is a joint international partnership between North America, Europe, East Asia, and the Republic of Chile. Composed of 66 high-precision antennas on a 5000-meter elevation site in the Atacama Desert of Chile, it is the largest ground based global astronomy endeavor in history. The ALMA Science Center is located at the NRAO headquarters in Charlottesville, Virginia. The Jansky Very Large Array is located in central New Mexico and is composed of 25 radio telescopes. The site sits at a 2124-meter elevation and routinely delivers dramatic science results from the Solar System to the most distant galaxies. The Pete V. Domenici Science Operations Center is located in Socorro, New Mexico. The technology research and development behind the NRAO telescopes is housed at the NRAO Central Development Laboratory in Charlottesville, Virginia, where they embrace a science-driven research and development program that supports the astronomy community’s highest priority science goals.

National Reference Laboratory (NRL) is a partner in Mubadala Health’s integrated network of world-class healthcare providers. NRL is focused on increasing the spectrum, coverage, and overall efficiency of laboratory testing in the UAE. It implements international best practice reference laboratory processes and aims to set the benchmark for quality standards in the region. Relying on its extensive expertise in pathology, NRL offers a comprehensive menu of tests relevant to the UAE and the wider region, with 98% of these performed in-house. It, therefore, offers a complete solution for all clinical testing needs in an efficient and high-quality environment that reduces both turnaround time and logistics-related costs, compared with other laboratories. NRL has one of the largest CAP-accredited (College of American Pathologists) laboratory networks in the Middle East, which includes three owned laboratories – one in Abu Dhabi and two in Dubai – and the management of all of Mubadala Health partners, such as those of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Imperial College London Diabetes Centre, and Healthpoint. NRL also fully manages the laboratories of several large private hospitals in the UAE.

Management National Refinery Limited ( NRL ) was incorporated on August 19, 1963 as a public limited company. Government of Pakistan took over the management of NRL under the Economic Reforms Order, 1972 under the Ministry of Production, which was exercising control through its shareholding in State Petroleum Refining and Petrochemical Corporation (PERAC). The Government of Pakistan had decided to place the National Refinery Limited under the administrative control of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Resources in November 1998. In June 2003 the Government of Pakistan decided to include NRL in its privatisation programme. The selling of 51% equity and transfer of management control to a strategic investor had been proposed accordingly, the due diligence process for the privatisation was initiated. After competitive bidding NRL was acquired by Attock Oil Group in July 2005. The Company has been privatised and the management handed over to the new owner (Attock Oil Group) on July 7, 2005. Production The refinery complex of the Company comprises of three refineries, consisting of two lube refineries and one fuel refinery. First Lube Refinery commissioned in 1966 with designed capacity of 539,700 tons per annum of Crude Processing and 76,200 tones per annum of Lube Base Oils. Second Lube Refinery commissioned in 1985 with designed capacity of 100,000 tons per annum of Lube Base Oils. The Fuel Refinery commissioned in 1977 with designed capacity of 1,500,800 tones per annum of Crude processing and after revamp the designed capacity comes to 2,170,800 tones per annum of Crude processing. The BTX unit was commissioned in 1985 with design capacity of 25,000 tons per annum of BTX. NRL enjoys a competitive edge, as it is the only refinery producing LBO in Pakistan.
