Nashville Software School (NSS) is a non-profit vocational school that prepares adults with aptitude, motivation, and drive for careers in software development, UI/UX design, data analytics, and data science. We are committed to growing diversity in these fields by creating opportunities for underrepresented groups in tech. NSS is a flourishing community of 850+ alumni, 100+ active students, and a team of dedicated instructors helping each other grow and learn their craft. Our community is supported by Nashville employers and mentors who give their time and share their knowledge in support of future tech talent. Together, we are a collection of passionate and committed local tech professionals who love what we do and are driven by helping others get a start in the technology industry.

The mission of Nashville State Community College is to provide comprehensive educational programs and partnerships, exemplary services, an accessible, progressive learning environment, and responsible leadership to improve the quality of life for the community it serves. The college serves a broad geographic area comprised of Davidson, Cheatham, Dickson, Houston, Humphreys, Montgomery, and Stewart counties. Nashville State offers degree and career technical certifications in 80+ programs of study–online and 6 campuses–that prepare students for a career or may transfer to a four-year university. The college also offers early college to Metro Nashville Public School students, high school dual enrollment, and is a strategic workforce development partner. NASIG is an independent organization working to advance and transform the management of information resources. Our ultimate goal is to facilitate and improve the distribution, acquisition, and long-term accessibility of information resources in all formats and business models. NASIG is also the proud moderator of the SERIALST discussion list since 2014. NASIG is a member of NISO and of Project COUNTER, and is a strategic affiliate of the Library Publishing Coalition.

A rich history In 1962, with humble beginnings and a rich vision, His Excellency the late Sheikh Nasir Bin Abdullah Al Ahmed Al Thani began his journey into entrepreneurship. In his capable hands, a modest starting capital became a legacy of hard work, ambition and drive- principles that to this day, remain at the core of NAS group. 1990- His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasir Al Thani has continued his father’s entrepreneurial legacy. And, with a keen eye for investment opportunity and an objective understanding of business risk has developed a culture of excellence that has driven growth at NAS Group for over four and a half decades.
