Malmö University is an innovative, urban and international institute of higher education, located in the centre of Malmö. We have around 1,800 employees and 24,000 students. Our research and education are characterised by the role we believe a university should play in an open society — to contribute to sustainability and equality in a scientifically grounded way with external partners and stakeholders. Identifying and addressing the challenges of the future are of highest priority. Malmöfestivalen startades 1985 och är idag Skandinaviens största musik- och upplevelsefestival, med 1,4 miljoner besökare årligen. Under åtta dagar i augusti förvandlar vi centrala Malmö till en enda stor, varm och kärleksfull festplats där alla är välkomna. Festivalen är helt gratis och har för vana att boka allt ifrån stora folkkära namn till smala artister och lokala aktörer. Här finns kort och gott något för alla, oavsett om du älskar musik, film, dans, teater, mat, dryck, sport eller livsstilsfrågor. Vi lägger stor vikt vid jämställdhet och tillgänglighet och har dessutom vid flera tillfällen vunnit prestigefyllda priser för vårt idoga miljöarbete. Malmöfestivalens värdegrund: Malmöfestivalen av idag är och ska vara stolt och modig, stark och överraskande, modern och ung. Den ska vara i ständig förändring, förbättring och omvandling. Den ska utmana och utmanas. Den ska erbjuda något för alla – oavsett ålder, könsidentitet, språk, etnicitet, religion, ekonomi, kulturell förkunskap, sexuell läggning m.m. Under åtta dagar ska alla kunna mötas på samma villkor på samma plats. Utan rädsla. Malmöfestivalen ska ha ett tydligt tänk samt strukturer och planer för arbete med säkerhet, tillgänglighet, jämställdhet och miljö. Den ska utmana fördomar samt arbeta mot rasism och trakasserier. Malmöfestivalen ska vara nyfiken, i samtid och i linje med staden och de som bor i den. Med stor respekt för den publik vi har och den vi vill ska komma – och med modet att sticka ut och förändra.

Malnad College of Engineering established in the year 1960, during the second 5 year plan, as a joint venture of Government of India, Government of Karnataka and the Malnad Technical Education Society, Hassan. the Malnad college of engineering is now a reputed Engineering college in the country. The college has earned “ISTE Award” as one of the Best Engineering Colleges in the Country, in the year 2007. Located midway, (13°N and 76.5°E, altitude 943 mtrs.) between Bangalore (180 kms) and Mangalore (170 kms) on NH-75, Hassan, a District Head Quarters, having a steady temperate climate throughout the year, enjoys an annual rainfall of about 900 mm. World famous temples of Belur, Halebid and Sravanabelagola, and the Master Control Facility for INSAT Satellites are located in Hassan District. The College is built on a 41.28 acres campus and has all the facilities expected in a modern Engineering College. The college offers 9 B.E, 5 M.Tech and MCA programmes, with about 2750 students on rolls. The college is one of the few Engineering Colleges in the country recognized for conducting the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP) sponsored by the World Bank. The Placement & Training centre in the college trains and assists the students in securing employment in reputed companies like Tata Consultancy, Infosys, Wipro, L&T, BEL, Fistchner, Builders’ Association of India etc., through campus recruitment programme.
