Litigation associate with two to five years of litigation experience to join busy L.I. Law Office concentrating in foreclosure defense. Applicant must be able to competently handle all phases of the litigation process including motion practice, client contact and court appearances. The firm concentrates in foreclosure defense, debtor creditor law, and bankruptcy law. Foreclosure experience is a plus, but not required. We’re looking for an Experienced Bankruptcy Attorney to join our team. We are an established L.I. Law Firm, looking for an associate concentrating in bankruptcy. We are reviewing the following: candidates who are admitted in Federal Court and candidates who have a few years of working experience. Candidates must be self-driven, reliable, willing to learn and be resourceful. This is an incredible opportunity for an extremely organized individual that thrives in a fast paced environment that requires multi-tasking, the ability to time manage and transition from task to task with ease. Day to day duties will include, but are not limited to: • Representing clients in court; • Preparing and drafting legal documents; • Meeting with clients and perspective clients; • Negotiating settlements for legal disputes. • Previous Consumer Bankruptcy Law Experience; • Familiarity with various legal documents; • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; • Ability to build rapport with clients; • Needs to help manage/supervise/ and organize bankruptcy staff; • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and • Experience appearing at creditors meetings; Requirements, Knowledge & Experience: • The ideal candidate will have bankruptcy experience • Energetic, Personable& able to prioritize assigned duties • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously • Must be organized, politely persistent, self-motivated, team player, can handle a fast paced environment, and eager to get involved and learn; • Excellent communication skills
