Lalpir Power Limited & Pakgen Power Limited [formerly known as AES Lalpir & Pak Gen Company Limited], was incorporated as an private unlimited company in Pakistan, with the name of AES Lalpir & Pakgen (Private) Company – a subsidiary of AES Corporation of USA, on 22 June 1995 under the Companies Ordinance 1984. The principal activities of the Company are to own, operate and maintain an oil fired power station with an installed capacity of 365x2 MW in Mehmood Kot - Muzaffargarh, Punjab, Pakistan. In June 2010, the Company was acquired by Nishat Group. After the acquisition, the management of the company was also changed. The Company under the new management was also converted from a Private unlimited liability company to a Public Company limited by shares in July 2010. The name of the company was also changed. The Company commenced commercial operations on February 01, 1998. The electricity generated is purchased by WAPDA under the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) executed with the company on September 05, 1995 which is valid for a period of 30 years. Power producing facility of gross output of 730MW (365x2) Oil Fired Independant Power Plant is located at Mehmood Kot, District Muzaffargarh, Pakistan. The state-of-the-art facility was installed and commissioned by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in 1996-97. It works on regenerative reheat type rankine cycle with two steam turbines and two 1200T/h capacity forced circulation boilers.

Situé au cœur d'un remarquable parc de sculptures, le LaM propose un parcours original favorisant la transversalité entre ses trois fonds : art moderne, art contemporain et art brut. Multiplicité des approches, passerelles et rapprochements fertiles… Le cloisonnement entre catégories fait place à une mise en perspective fructueuse. À l’origine du musée se trouve la prestigieuse collection d’art moderne constituée par Roger Dutilleul (1873-1956) et par son neveu Jean Masurel (1908-1991), composée d’œuvres de Georges Braque, Henri Laurens, Joan Miró, Amedeo Modigliani, Pablo Picasso... La collection d’art contemporain, riche de plus de 1 000 œuvres (Etel Adnan, Christian Boltanski, Daniel Buren, Annette Messager, Kiki Smith…), permet quant à elle un dialogue vivant entre les époques, les lieux et les artistes. L’exceptionnel ensemble d’art brut (terme crée par Jean Dubuffet pour désigner des productions de personnes indemnes d'enseignement artistique) trouve son origine dans l’histoire de L’Aracine, une association d'amateurs et de créateurs d'art brut fondée par Madeleine Lommel, Claire Teller et Michel Nedjar. En 1999, cette dernière fait don au musée de sa collection de 3 500 œuvres réalisées par 170 créateurs français et étrangers : Aloïse Corbaz, Henry Darger, Augustin Lesage, Adolf Wölfli, Carlo Zinelli... Ce fonds, régulièrement enrichi, est l’un des plus importants en Europe. Tout au long de l’année, à travers une ambitieuse politique d’expositions, soutenue par de nombreux mécènes et partenaires ("Amedeo Modigliani, l’œil intérieur"​ en 2016, "Alberto Giacometti, une aventure moderne"​ en 2019, "William Kentridge. Un poème qui n’est pas le nôtre"​ en 2023 "Isamu Noguchi. Sculpter le monde), le LaM poursuit des explorations croisées entre ses trois fonds, invitant le public à renouveler son regard sur l'histoire de l'art.
