LabPON staat voor Laboratorium Pathologie Oost-Nederland. Zij is gevestigd in Hengelo, Overijssel, en voert pathologisch onderzoek uit voor de ziekenhuizen en huisartsenpraktijken in de regio's Twente en Achterhoek-Oost. LabPON is organisatorisch verdeeld in de afdelingen Histologie, Cytologie, Moleculaire pathologie en Medische administratie. Hier werken in totaal circa 18 pathologen, 90 analisten en medisch- administratief medewerkers. LabPON werkt op facilitair gebied samen met het Laboratorium Microbiologie Twente Achterhoek, dat in hetzelfde pand is gevestigd. Het laboratorium maakt gebruik van state of the art technieken en apparatuur. Als grootste pathologisch laboratorium in Nederland wil LabPON uitblinken in snelheid en kwaliteit, want dat is waar elke patiënt bij is gebaat. LabPON streeft naar verkorting van de doorlooptijd en een verhoging in de kwaliteit van de diagnostiek door middel van technische innovaties, waaronder de ontwikkeling van de digitale pathologie. Vanaf november 2017 heeft LabPon het ISO certificaat toegekend gekregen. Het ISO15189 keurmerk is een kwaliteitslabel die aangeeft dat de dienstverlening van LabPON aan de normen van de ISO voldoet.
