KIIT School of Management (KSOM) has a long history of academic excellence, providing industry-focused management education. It was founded in 1993 as Institute of Business Administration and Training (IBAT) with a vision to make it a trend setting centre for business education, where young minds are provided the right balance of classroom learning and practical exposure to turn into successful professionals and inspiring leaders. Today, as part of the prestigious KIIT deemd to be University, KSOM has delivered on that vision. KSOM has extended its areas of influence from Eastern India to the whole country and already has many impressive achievements to its credit. NAAC’s rating of KSOM as A grade and 30th rank in NIRF, MHRD, Govt. of India is a testimony to that. Spread over an area of 35 acres, the institution houses more than 1000 students across three courses: BBA, MBA and Doctoral program in Management. This is an institution that believes in making business education highly relevant through periodic course review, regular industry interaction, hands-on exposure and has faculty with the right mix of industry and academic experience. 80% of the faculties are from industry or with Ph.D and over half of the faculty are from IIMs, IITs, TISS, MDI, XLRI and other premier institutes.

KIIT School of Rural Management (KSRM), Bhubaneswar came into existence with the laying of the foundation stone by the father of the White Revolution, Late Dr. Verghese Kurien & Dr. A Samanta, Founder of KIIT Group of Institute & KISS on 20th November, 2006 in the premises of the KIIT University. KSRM under KIIT University was established keeping in view the current and emerging rural development needs of the country. KSRM constantly endeavors to improve the knowledge and practice content of its academic programme to match National and International standards. After IRMA, KSRM is the second full-fledged institute in the field of rural management in the country. KSRM will also have added advantage in terms of drawing faculty resources from its sister institutions under KIIT umbrella viz. School of Management, School of Technology and School of Biotechnology.
