The Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology (KICT) is Korea’s only government-funded research institute in the area of construction technology. Drawing on the unrivaled R&D capacities we have accumulated over upwards of 40 years, we are an institution dedicated to our social roles and responsibilities as a body for research. The KICT is on the cusp of a new beginning, as we intend to transform our operations as follows. First, we will engage aggressively in research to resolve national-level issues that are intimately associated with the quality of life of the Korean people: smart cities, future road infrastructures, responding to climate change-induced disasters, and reducing airborne fine dust (fine particulate matter). Furthermore, through preemptive R&D initiatives in areas associated with the national grand strategy such as the Digital New Deal and the Green New Deal, we will assume a leading role in enhancing the national competitiveness, furthering the growth of technology, nurturing a high added value construction industry, and fostering the growth of small and medium enterprises. Lastly, we will implement advanced R&D systems, nurture global R&D talent, and foster global leaders. Through the world-class research achievements and prestigious research groups, we will assume a global construction technology leadership role. Furthering the national happiness and resolving global issues through construction technology is the dream of “K-Construction”, and the mission of the KICT. KID FUNdamentals Therapy Center, Inc. provides individualized and child-centered Pediatric Occupational Therapy Services. We are committed in helping children live a better life, and to be able to participate and enjoy moments with their families. We have the child and their family’s best interest in mind, and so goals and treatment sessions focus on supporting what is important for your child and family.

Kid Healthy works to improve health, wellness and nutrition by engaging school children and families from the most underserved communities of Southern California through culturally appropriate health and wellness programs that measurably increase nutrition and fitness levels. Launched in 2003, our first effort became one of the largest obesity prevention campaigns in California. The Steps to Healthy Living campaign engaged over 95,000 students, parents, and teachers in 4 counties. Its 10 year successful integration into the school environment allowed Kid Healthy to focus on the development of its two newer outreach programs. In 2009, Kid Healthy initiated Padres en Acción, an innovative parent-led structured recess program. Kid Healthy created a hands-on training course that empowers parents to engage in school wellness policy, advocacy, and directly increase the level of physical activity through the structured recess component with a regular presence of parent volunteers every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. They provide organized, heart increasing, skill based physical activities during lunch recess. Currently implemented in 33 schools, Padres En Accion is a proven model of success that we plan to further replicate in other schools and school districts. In 2011, we partnered with the Healthy Schools Campaign and hosted the first California edition of Cooking up Change® a national cooking contest. This program provides high school students from Title I schools the tools to transform the school lunch menu, develop valuable culinary skills, increase their self-esteem, and become leaders in school food reform. Each team is partnered with a professional chef mentor who cultivates the students overall skill set. The winning team from Orange County will move on to compete against 10 other cities at the national competition in Washington, DC. Kid Healthy's OC teams finished in 1st place in 2012, 2013, and 2014 and earned a 2nd place finish in 2015.

We teach kids aged 5+ the essential skills needed to survive in the future (21st Century skills + growth mindset/learning how to fail and get back up) through offline weekend classes. Examples of content taught are - coding, design thinking, leadership. Classes are paid by parents of high income family and we subsidise for low income families. As well as this, we are also working with schools to provide trainings for teachers so that they are able to teach through play based learning to better motivate the kids within their classrooms.

The mission of Kid One Transport is to transport children and expectant mothers who have limited or no means of transportation to needed medical care. As Alabama’s only provider of transportation to children and expectant mothers, Kid One Transport provided 22,545 total transports in 2018. Kid One provides transportation to any needed medical appointment including routine doctor, dental and vision check-ups, prenatal visits, as well as lifesaving chemotherapy, radiation, surgeries, and dialysis. Kid One is dedicated to making life a little easier for Alabama families, by working to remedy a consequence of socioeconomic disparities in our Alabama communities.

Kid Orange Tech is the exclusive distributor of ABCmouse.com for preschools and early learning centers. Our Educational Advisors help schools set up, use, and promote technology-based programs to build a connection between the classroom and home. Our Educational Advisors are highly qualified former teachers and directors with a wealth of experience in the classroom and in building revenue for preschools. They offer creative and practical ways to use ABCmouse activities in the classrooms, further preparing children for kindergarten.

Kid Spark Education is a 501(c)(3) public benefit corporation. Kid Spark makes STEM education more fun and meaningful for students, easier for teachers, and more cost effective for schools and youth programs. We develop applied technology and engineering learning experiences for K-8 students. We produce affordable Mobile STEM Labs and curriculum for Schools and Youth Service Organizations. We provide free or subsidized Kid Spark Education programs to schools and youth organizations serving underserved children. Much of our work is focused on designing professional development tools that allow teachers and youth services providers to become confident STEM mentors.
