Open Innovation significa che le aziende dovrebbero sfruttare maggiormente idee e tecnologie esterne nel proprio business, lasciando che le proprie idee inutilizzate possano essere sfruttate da altre imprese. Questo processo richiede che le imprese adottino un modello di business aperto, che lasci fluire idee e tecnologie dall’esterno all’interno dell’impresa e dall’interno all’ambiente esterno.
