Johnston Tractors Ltd is a family run company approaching our 60th year in business, having been established in 1962. Since the beginning we have been dealers for quality new and used agricultural equipment supplying and providing product support for customers in-and-around our core area of north Cumbria and east Dumfries & Galloway. The key activities of the company are sales of agricultural and construction equipment and the associated after sales parts and service backup. We are main dealers for the prestigious tractor brand Fendt and highly popular brand Valtra, both part of the AGCO stable. We are also partnered with Kuhn, another world leading manufacturer with a wide range of machines for farming and amenity applications. Suzuki ATV’s complete the three pillars of our agricultural offering; Tractors, Machinery and Vehicles - with the renowned KingQuad off-road vehicle line-up. Partnerships with other manufacturers complement our portfolio of equipment including but not limited to; Nugent Trailers, Stewart Trailers, Sumo and Dalbo machinery. Over the course of our history we have grown from head office on Rosehill Industrial Estate, Carlisle… to include additional Johnston Tractors branches situated in Dumfries and Penrith. All branches work symbiotically to share resources and enhance each other’s operational efficiency. Another string to our bow is BH Plant Sales, a division of Johnston Tractors which specialises in machinery for Plant and Construction. BH is an authorised dealer for Takeuchi excavators and Merlo construction telehandlers based at a second site just a stone’s throw from JT Carlisle Head Office. This is also where we house most of our used equipment for preparation and display.

Founded in 1932, JTB continues to proudly produce well-crafted value priced furniture in our state of the art 450,000 sq. ft. factory in Columbus, MS. The Johnstone Family is the original McDonald's Franchise organization in Bay County Florida - Johnstone Foods Family McDonald's. The first Bay County McDonald's was opened in 1962 by Tom Johnstone and is owned and operated today by his son Tim and wife Tracy today. Tom Johnstone has a long legacy of community service and civic leadership. The Florida Panhandle Red Cross, March of Dimes, Special Olympics, United Way, All-County Band, Salvation Army, Board Member and President of the Panama City Boys Club, Marine Institute, Rotary Club, and the Jaycees all benefited from the leadership and generosity of Uncle Tom as he was lovingly known.
