We host WOMEX in 2020 in Budapest as one of the major actors of world music in the CEE region. We select, publish, stage and promote top & upcoming world music artists from Hungary and beyond. Hangveto has organised concerts and festivals since 2004, and is an established world and folk music label. After hosting a successful WOMEX event in 2015, Hangveto is proud to host the biggest international world music event again in 2020 with acclaimed partners such as Müpa Budapest, the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, Castle Garden Bazaar and A38 Ship. We also lead the consortium in the MOST music project which is a complex strategy to develop the Balkan World Music Scene supported by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union. Our main partners are the European Music Council, Bozar, Piranha Arts, Foundation Exit and Timisoara 2021. In Hungary uur main festivals are Budapest Ritmo and PONT Festival. We partner with numerous world music professionals across Europe to foster regional cooperation. Apart of this radio productions, copyright management, publishing and music industry training also feature in our core activities.

Hanimex was established in 1980 as an import office for furniture accessories. Since we began our operation, our activities were mainly concentrated on imports and retail, both on an individual scale and major projects. We started expanding into other product lines such as indoor and outdoor furniture and lighting, bathroom and kitchen accessories, office furniture, etc. which lead us to open our first showroom in (1st of Moez el Dawla, Makram Ebeid, Nasr City), which is currently our head office. We then opened our other two branches; one located in Mohandesin, and the other located in Alexandria. Our head office will be relocated to our soon to be opened Hanimex mall in New Cairo.
