أصدر سمو الشيخ حمدان بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم قراره رقم (1) في السادس من أبريل لعام 2013 والقاضي، بإنشاء مركز حمدان بن محمد لإحياء التراث. حيث عُدّ هذا التاريخ نقطة تحول جذرية، ليس فقط في مسيرة التراث الإماراتي وحسب، وإنما في الإرث الإنساني لأنه وكما يتضح من اسم المركز، يتعدى مفهوم الجمع والتدوين التقليدي للتراث إلى بث الروح فيه من جديد ليكون كائناً حاضراً في حياة أبناء وطنٍ لا يعتزون بشيء كما هو اعتزازهم بهويتهم الإماراتية. ومنذ اللحظات الأولى لولادته، انطلق مركز حمدان بن محمد لإحياء التراث في إطار استراتيجية مدروسة لرفع معدل الوعي تجاه الإرث الإماراتي الأصيل محلياً وإقليمياً وعالمياً، وبكافة تفرعاته: الإنسانية، والثقافية، الاجتماعية، اللغوية، المهنية، والرياضية وكل ذلك في إطار موضوعي بعيد عن المغالطات ومن مصادر موثوقة تم التحري عنها وفقاً للمعايير الدولية. Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center was established on 6th of April, 2013 under the decree No. 1 for the year 2013 issued by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. The directive stems from His Highness’ belief in the importance of heritage and folklore in the promotion of national identity among UAE nationals and his desire to revive and spread the country’s rich history and heritage among current and future generations.

Under the presidency of HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, U.A.E, Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) is committed to instigating a culture of quality, excellence and research through e-learning in the Arab world, with emphasis in the academic disciplines of business, quality management, education, healthcare and environment.
