Established in 1952, our wine estate is considered by many as the Birthplace of English Wine: a Pioneering Spirit for the past seventy years. We are a 200-acre sparkling wine estate located in the village of Hambledon, Hampshire, in the South Downs National Park- with a focus on crafting Exceptional English Sparkling Wines. We think that everything begins with great soil. We're lucky to be situated on a bed of Newhaven chalk: the same chalk, with the same Belemnite content, is found in the best Chardonnay areas of the Côtes des Blancs in Champagne and is thought to be a key factor in the quality of the wines. We are committed to implementing regenerative viticulture across our site, to build stronger biodiversity, healthier soils and stronger vines. We focus on the quality of time in our winemaking, with a gravity-fed winery ensuring gentle treatment of our fruit, and all base wines undergoing full MLF and long lees ageing. We have a house style, rather than a house blend, built on our solera system that is continuously added to, year-upon-year. Hamboards®, founded in Huntington Beach, CA, (Surf City) is a manufacturer of unique skateboards designed for surfers and stand-up paddling enthusiasts. Hamboards® brings the long board Surfing and SUP Surfing experience on land and there's absolutely nothing else like it. For our first show garden at Hampton Court Palace Flower in 2010 we won a Silver Gilt Medal and two of our gardens appeared on the popular Alan Titchmarsh's television show 'Love Your Garden'. Following the reporting, we conducted our own further internal gender pay gap analysis, which provided us with the following additional insight: • We have a higher percentage, approximately 65%, of our lower paid roles occupied by females. • For the remaining percentage, our female demographic has a higher average pay rate or equal pay in comparison to our male demographic. • Overall, our headcount balance remains consistent with recent years at 40% representation from the female demographic. This information will be valuable as begin our salary benchmarking process and companywide salary reviews in preparation for FY26. The HAMBS Board and Executive Management Team have committed to the following action plan to address gender equality in our organisation: • Development of a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategy and Program, to ensure employees are consulted and have input on issues concerning gender equality in the workplace. • Continued internal analysis of our payroll to determine to review and any remuneration gaps between women and men. • Updated Equal Opportunity Policy and Talent Acquisition framework to ensure fairness and consistency.
