Malbec has run through the veins of the Vigouroux family since 1887, and their passion for this grape variety guides them in the development of exceptional vineyards. Château de Mercuès and Château de Haute-Serre, the family's two 'jewel' estates, illustrate the diversity and richness of the vineyards of the Cahors appellation, the birthplace of Malbec. Château de Mercuès, a Relais & Châteaux wine estate rooted in the third terrace of the Lot Valley, is a true Malbec destination, while Château de Haute-Serre, on the Kimmeridgian siderolithic plateau, stands out for the bold signature of its terroir. The selection of these singular soils, combined with Bertrand-Gabriel Vigouroux's unrivalled mastery of the Malbec diva, gives rise to fine wines with great ageing potential. Wines that promote a truly excellent “Art de Vivre”. To make the greatness of French Malbec live and shine more than ever.

Georgetown Day School offers an educational program that fosters a love of learning while providing serious instruction in the academic disciplines, the arts, and physical education and athletics. Over the past 75 years, GDS has grown from a school of seven families to a pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade school with more than 1,000 students and a faculty of more than 300 on one unified campus in Washington, DC. While circumstances of today are not the same as those of 1945, the needs of children and the importance of an equitable and excellent educational environment are as compelling as they have ever been. GDS seeks to enroll students and families who are committed to the mission of the School and who will be positive and cooperative members of the community. Georgetown Day School does not separate preparation for college from preparation for life. The process of education instructs our students as powerfully as the educational information which is imparted. The School’s commitment to an education for character has made GDS unique and a model for others. We are proud of our history, the quality and breadth of our educational programs, and, most important, of the articulate, self-confident, and responsible citizens our students become.
