The Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology is a voluntary organization composed of professionals interested and involved in the scientific study of exercise physiology, exercise biochemistry, fitness and health. The CSEP (then known as the Canadian Association of Sport Sciences), was founded at the Pan American Games, Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1967 - the result of four years of cooperative efforts by the Canadian Medical Association and the Canadian Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.

The Canadian Society for Unconventional Resources (CSUR) provides factual technical information about unconventional hydrocarbon resource exploration and development through presentations, informational materials, luncheons, forums, workshops, field trips and an annual technical conference. Unconventional resources include Shale Gas; Gas Hydrates; Natural Gas from Coal; Tight Gas; and Tight Oil. CSUR is active across Canada with efforts to facilitate communication between the unconventional oil and gas industry, provincial, federal and local governments, the public, First Nations and media.

The CSTB (Canadian Software Testing Board) is the Canadian national branch of the ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board). As such, it advocates education and examination as a practical means to excel in the software testing field. The CSTB is one of many national boards participating in the ISTQB; other countries include England, France, Sweden, Spain, China, Denmark, Brazil... The CSTB was founded on January 12, 2007. All Board directors work on a voluntary basis on the board. All are specialists, practitioners, consultants and trainers that have active roles in software testing and quality assurance related positions in Canada.
