Within the WCM and Lean production philosophy, CALF supports its customers in all manufacturing processes (design, engineering, cost reduction, prototypes, production, spare parts mng, assembly and testing) in a ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality system. CALF has more than 20 machining centers (4 and 5 axis) that are able to manage a wide range of materials (inox steel, special steels, aluminum, plastic materials, titanium, etc.). The Calgary Alliance for the Common Good is a non-partisan and non-profit alliance of congregations, unions, school and community groups in Calgary representing more than 30,000 people. These organizations came together to form the Calgary Alliance for the Common Good in order to organize the power of our communities to shape a just and compassionate city. Calgary Arabia is a weekly, 2-hour, live show in Arabic that discusses local Canadian & Albertan social, economic & political affairs. It showcases Arab art & cultural heritage, and airs live interviews with prominent figures from diverse walks of life in Calgary. The Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo (AKA: Calgary Expo) is a four-day pop-culture convention held annually in Calgary, Alberta each April. Established in 2006, it has consistently grown in attendance, exhibition and guest list size to welcome over 103,000 attendees in 2016! Attendees can shop hundreds of vendors and exhibitors, check out panels and workshops, meet their favorite stars and creators, and celebrate what makes them geeky with thousands of other fans in cosplay. Calgary Expo has become a homegrown success story, and a cultural phenomenon in Western Canada. The buzz and energy of Calgary Expo reverberates throughout the city. Each year, Downtown Calgary partners with Calgary Expo to present the POW! Parade of Wonders, a public cosplay parade and official opening ceremonies led by Parade Marshall Mayor Naheed Nenshi featuring thousands of costumed fans and Calgary Expo special guests on the streets of beautiful downtown Calgary. After the POW! Parade, fans head to the Calgary Stampede Park to celebrate the first day of the four-day Calgary Expo. The Calgary Expo is only outreached by super-events like the Calgary Stampede and the Global Petroleum Show. CFIS is an independent, community-focused school for children from preschool to grade 12. Our immersive French language learning environment inspires children’s unique curiosity and exploration of the world around them through International Baccalaureate, UNESCO, Round Square and travel studies programming.
