CAIR-NY protects the civil liberties of and empowers American Muslims. CAIR-NY serves Muslim New Yorkers through legal advocacy, education, media relations, civic engagement, and grassroots mobilization. As a first line of defense, CAIR-NY protects New Yorkers who have experienced discrimination, harassment, hate crimes, and more. We combat Islamophobia and systemic discrimination in all its forms.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is a federation of legally independent, governed and managed chapters across the country that work together to defend the Civil Liberties of Americans. CAIR National is the founding organization and has its own Board of Directors, as do each of the chapters across the country. All of the CAIR chapters board members, employees and volunteers represent the diversity of the American Muslim community. The Council on American-Islamic Relations Florida, Inc. (CAIR Florida, Inc.), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, was established in 2001 to challenge stereotypes of Islam and Muslims and defend civil liberties. CAIR Florida has four regional offices statewide that serve local communities in Tampa, South-Florida (Sunrise), Orlando, Southwest Florida and Panama City. The vast majority of CAIR-Florida's work deals with civil rights and anti-defamation. CAIR Florida has consistently won praise from elected officials and the media for its tenacious efforts to combat both discrimination against Muslims and Islamophobia. Cairde is a non-government organization working to reduce health inequalities among ethnic minorities and is committed to supporting the participation of minority communities in enhancing their health. Cairde works through the rights based approach believing that the absence of equality and respect for human rights is correlated to the existence of health inequalities. Cairde, by adopting a community development approach, supports new and existing community-based groups in taking an active role in the analysis and redress of the issues effecting them as well as providing individual advocacy and information to ethnic minorities. Cairdes work includes provision of health information and advocacy service from Health Information and Advocacy Centers in Dublins North Inner City and Balbriggan; capacity building and community work with minority ethnic groups.

Nous avons tous déjà eu un ordinateur portable que nous avons dû changer à cause d’une lenteur extrême ou d’une défaillance soudaine. Pourtant, en faisant ça, nous jetons en réalité un PC qui est encore en grande partie fonctionnel. Sommes-nous coupables ? Non, au contraire, à moins d’être experts, nous sommes aujourd’hui prisonniers de PC irréparables. Voici pourquoi nous développons un ordinateur portable modulaire, dont l’objectif sera de pouvoir changer toutes les pièces du PC très facilement, sans être expert. Pour que cette modularité soit accessible à tous, peu importe son niveau en informatique, nous avons développé des Blocs et des Mods : ➤ Blocs : Ce sont des composants internes amovibles, conçus pour être les plus accessibles possible, aucune vis n’est utilisée, et ils sont interchangeables d’une simple pression. Pour changer un bloc, il suffit d’appuyer sur un bouton, et le bloc s’enlève. Plusieurs composants sont changeables dans nos blocs : Mémoire Vive, SSD, Processeur, Batterie, Carte Wi-Fi, Ventilateur, Clavier, TouchPad, Écran ➤ Mods: Module externe permettant de personnaliser son ordinateur. Ce sont des pièces externes, comme la Webcam, le HDMI, ou les haut-parleurs L’utilisateur maîtrise sa machine au lieu d’être maîtrisé par elle, et c’est également pour cela que l’Open Source et le Logiciel Libre sont des valeurs fondatrices de Cairn Devices.
