Basingstoke College of Technology (BCoT) is a dynamic college with industry-standard facilities in a large campus in Basingstoke and a training centre in nearby Bordon. The College offers advanced technical, vocational and academic qualifications that help our students go onto Russell Group universities, higher training or work. We also run a successful apprenticeship and in-work learning programme delivered through our Aspiral Learning team. Our HNCs and HNDs are university-level courses where you can gain qualifications, stage by stage, and work towards a final degree or simply be better qualified for the job market. We also offer part-time courses in a range of subjects from accountancy to car maintenance. As a key part of our local community, some or our real-world training areas – like Evolve Salon and The Restaurant at BCoT – are open to the public. With our open days, workshops or advice and guidance events, we help students choose the right path for them and our teachers have the industry experience and enthusiasm to keep them on track.

Basingstoke Voluntary Action (BVA) is a charity organisation that has been providing support and leadership to the voluntary sector and local community of Basingstoke since 1965. We are recipients of the Mayor's Award to Business 2018 in recognition of our work for the community in 2017-2018. Support and development We give free professional advice about setting up and running voluntary organisations e.g. governance, leadership, finance, funding, staffing, policies and procedures as well as working with the Charity Commission and funding agencies. Funding We educate voluntary organisations on the funding sources available, walk you through the funding process and offer a review of applications before submission. DBS For a small charge we offer DBS checks for the voluntary sector at our monthly DBS clinics. Affordable meeting rooms Any organisation in the area can hire meeting and interview rooms at The Orchard, as well as a self-contained conference suite at affordable prices. Camrose Centre A project of ours is the Camrose Centre, a drop-in service providing support to the homeless, vulnerably housed and socially isolated within Basingstoke.
