YellowRoc began as an independent sole proprietor and general construction contractor in 1945, founded by bricklayer and general builder the late Jack Matthews. Jack and his team were initially engaged in the rebuild of bomb damaged London, England after the Second World War. The enterprise has continued as a partnership by successive members of the Matthews family; evolving over the past 77 years, through various transitions and brands, into the award winning YellowRoc that you see today. The group is now helmed by one of his sons, civil engineer, electrical engineer, and Group Chief Executive Officer R G Matthews.
