the pioneer anglophone state university in cameroon founded in 1993. twenty-three years later the university boasts ten establishments and over fifty departments offering everything from accounting to zoology to a student population of over 20,000 on average. the mission of the university of buea is to provide opportunities for quality anglo-saxon style education through teaching and research in an environment that is conducive to such pursuits and in ways that respond to market forces.
