Unamuno Author Series

The Unamuno Author Series exists to create a union between the material and mystical through poetry. We are an international constellation of poets, writers, educators, and advocators of literary arts. Every month, our team brings acclaimed poets to Madrid. Poets discuss the power of poetry at King’s College and Instituto International, then continue the discussion with a larger audience at Vaughan Radio. Finally, poets recite in Desperate Literature and have open dialogue with audiences to build connections based on humility and creative expression. Award-winning poets who’ve attended the series include: Greg Pardlo, Nöel Valis, Marilyn Hacker, Mark Wunderlich, Mark Doty, Richard Blanco, Carl Adamshick, Iva Ticic, Jeremy Voigt, Caitríona O'Reilly, Mark Conway, Eduardo Corral, and Mary Jo Salter, Naomi Mulvihill, Ruben Quesada, John Koethe, Luis J. Rodriguéz, Kathleen Flenniken, Ralph Hamilton, Alfred Corn, Henri Cole, Jordan Zhandi, Dana Prescott, Jennifer Grotz, Ellen Bass, Su Smallen, Campbell McGrath, Peter Trachtenberg, Michael White, Michael Dumanis, Rick Barot and Jericho Brown.
