Talent Match Staffordshire is an exciting project that supports young people into employment and helps young entrepreneurs to set up their own business. The project is currently being delivered in the districts of Lichfield, Cannock and Newcastle-under-Lyme for those aged 18-24 years who have been out of employment, education or training for over 12 months. Working in new and innovative ways Talent Match Staffordshire makes sure that young people are at the heart of steering the project and developing ideas. Our Youth Action Teams meet regularly to voice their opinions and provide vital information which contribute to helping others overcome their barriers to employment. Alongside our Youth Action Teams are a number of organisations from the public, private, community and voluntary sectors who work together to create effective partnerships in supporting the objectives of the Talent Match project in Staffordshire. Our promise is to help the very hardest to reach young people make the most of their skills and ambitions, not just as an end goal, but by giving them a say in how the programme itself is designed and put into practice. Talent Match Staffordshire has helped me more in 30 minutes than other agencies have done in 2 years Young Person, Lichfield District Each young person receives the support of a dedicated Peer Mentor who works together with the young person to create a specific route to success. That route can include one-to-one support, free training, help to remove barriers through support services, entry into apprenticeships, experience through volunteer opportunities, work placements and more!
