TCIS is one of the best international schools in Korea for a wide variety of families. Foundationally, TCIS is a rigorous, college-preparatory school, educating students from Kindergarten through grade 12. We were one of the original foreign schools in Korea, and we remain one of the top foreign schools in Korea to this day. We are, however, more than just a school. TCIS is a diverse and caring community that cares for students and develops character. It is our goal that children not only receive a curriculum that serves them well for university but an educational experience that prepares them for a balanced, fulfilled, and successful life. We deliver education with a Christian ethos that shapes learning and community, toward the goal of students growing in values of love, peace, unity, respect, service, and faith. We offer a myriad of student activities to create leadership qualities in students as they follow their passions, and an experienced and dedicated faculty to carefully guide them in their learning. For families living outside of the Daejeon area, TCIS also runs an on-campus boarding care program. We have created a family-like atmosphere with safety and belonging at its core, layering strong support for academics onto it. Even further, we believe that our boarding care increases the potential for students. It is an opportunity for closer academic support and responsibility, strong social connections, and qualities of balance that many young people lack. Students in the TCIS Boarding Care Program learn practical life lessons for responsibility, time management, community living, conflict resolution, all of which prepares students for university life abroad Beginning in kindergarten, we offer a course of vertically aligned academic study and character development to promote joy and competency for learning that travels throughout school years, into university, and beyond.
