Saudi Fisheries Company (SFC) was established in 1981 as a joint stock company with fully paid up capital of SR 535.375 million, where 40% is contributed by the government and the remaining 60% is raised from Saudi private sectors. the Company forms the backbone of the marine industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The company was established to develop investment opportunities in fishing on Saudi Arabia's territorial waters & other international waters bound by the limit of laws & regulations as well as the company is engaged in Aquaculture, processing, Manufacturing, Marketing including Wholesale, Van sale, Export & having own modern retail shops numbering to 35 around the Kingdom.
