Salt Employee Benefits has been part of South Africa’s financial services sector since 1953 when it was first established as Hoskens Pensions & Life Brokers. In 1987, Hoskens purchased Majix – a legacy based administration system which was a pioneer in its time. The Thebe Investment Corporation, the oldest black-owned investment holding company in South Africa, purchased the company in 1994, becoming Thebe Employee Benefits. Salt Employee Benefits emerged in 2012 when Salt Invest purchased Thebe Employee Benefits.
