SFL's directors began development of the CREST Simulator in 1998, having been responsible for CREST application development since 1995. The Simulator development was completed in July 2000. With the first customer connected in August 2000, SFL has enjoyed a steady increase in activity, currently servicing 50 customers with over 140 separate connections with major European clients. The CREST skills and knowledge has been successfully passed on to the Safe Financials support staff, who operate from a Midlands office base, supporting clients with every aspect of their testing throughout the UK, Ireland, Europe, USA and India. The company has a very low level of staff turnover and maintains an excellent caliber of staff by providing a good quality, friendly working environment and high levels of training and development. The Simulator offers total flexibility to meet clients'​ testing and training needs.
