SA Group of Specialists

Originally opened as Southern Gastrointestinal Services, SA Group of Specialists was established in 2000 by Associate Professor Peter Bampton and Dr Derwin Williams. We now have over 45 qualified and experienced practitioners working across a range of specialities, including gastroenterologists, sleep and respiratory physicians, vascular surgeons and neurologists, as well as a range of visiting specialties. We also have general and upper GI surgeons, who are supported by dietitians, psychologists, GPs with an interest in weight management and exercise physiologists. We have expanded to cover most of the Adelaide region, and have clinics in Windsor Gardens (480 Specialist Centre), Henley Beach (Western Hospital), Bedford Park (Flinders Private), Kurralta Park (Tennyson Centre) and the CBD (Calvary Adelaide Hospital). Incorporating Australian Metabolic and Obesity Surgery, we also offer a holistic multidisciplinary approach to obesity management and a healthy lifestyle. Our Tennyson Centre clinic provides a colorectal cancer prevention and monitoring program (SCOOP Private) as well as an oesophageal cancer prevention and monitoring program (BOSS). We provide high-quality administrative services and facilities to medical specialists working in private practice, who are supported by passionate and dedicated clinical and administrative staff.
