The Rail Manufacturing Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) drives the development of new products, technologies and supply chain networks to enhance the competitiveness of Australias rail manufacturing capability. Jointly funded by the Australian Government and Industry, the Rail Manufacturing CRC co-funds and manages collaborative research and commercialisation partnerships between rail manufacturing multinationals, innovative small-to-medium enterprises, leading research and development providers, industry peak bodies, and Federal and State Governments. The Rail Manufacturing CRC was established in 2014 and will operate for a period of six years, funded by the Business Cooperative Research Centres Programme of the Australian Governments Department of Industry, Innovation and Science.
