OHLINA is a technology-driven contemporary jewellery design studio from London with expertise in experimental digital design, 3D printing technology and digital fabrication. Founded by Selina Yau, a digital artisan and British designer who training as an architect from one of the world’s most prestigious architecture schools – The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, found herself on a mission to discover beauty, hybridity, expressive empowerment and identity through design. She found herself crossbreeding the boundaries between the worlds of architecture and fashion through her passion for playing with scale and sculptural beauty. After graduating from her Masters in Architecture at the Bartlett, this curious chase did not stop — in fact, it amplified a longing for pure creative freedom and representation. This craving stimulated a vision that transitioned her story to be an architect into establishing her inner voice as a design studio and brand: OHLINA. Not only is it a representation of her, but most importantly a mission to discover and share with the world a perspective of expressive empowerment through the hybrid play of sculptural jewellery that used digital tools as the vehicle for liberated creativity and experimentation. The studio focuses on the discovery and transformative condition of beauty and sculptural rigour with the aesthetics of light, voluminous beauty and elegance. Our avant-garde approach to jewellery design allows us to handcraft our designs with a unique fusion of traditional and digital craftsmanship that is handmade, bespoke and made to last from the finest materials while honouring the artistic value of beauty through its multi-dimensional expressive form and craftsmanship as the sculptural destination of contemporary jewellery for the independent and contemporary curious.
