new food innovation ltd we work within the interface between the innovation communities (academia and technology inventors ) and the food industry, we have a range of skills within the company and our network of associates. we have bases at the university of nottingham and the national centre of excellence of food engineering from which we provide applied, practical, commercial and investment support. 1) an idea to the concept (up to trl 3) 2) concept to commercial product ( trl 7 ) 3) product through to commercialisation ( trl 8-9) we have founded a further 4 micro sme companies:- a) myconeous - a fungal biotech company. b) pulseon - a company working on the health benefits of pulse crops, in association with king's college london and the quadram institute. c) acea nutra which is working within the plant science - nutraceutical arena with a novel glycolipid which impacts on on the health of humans, companion animals, and livestock. d) fruition foods ; helping support growth through product innovation both start-up companies and established wanting to find that missing spark much of our applied work is within the plant-based foods arena, working with food and ingredients manufacturing companies including such companies as quorn, 3fbio, amidori, solazyme.ab mauri www.newfoodinnovation.co.uk linkedin: http://www.linkedin.com/in/alanmarson
